Your Donation Could Be the Key to Unlock a Teacher’s Dream
Every educator has an idea that could make a meaningful difference for students. Maybe it’s a hands-on science experience, a more inclusive learning space, or an innovative program that introduces students to new career possibilities. Sometimes, the only thing missing is the funding to make it happen.
That’s where our community comes in.
The Union County Education Foundation is preparing for its annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans fundraiser, and we need your help making this year’s Silent Auction a success.
When you donate an item, service, or experience, you’re giving more than an auction prize. You’re helping turn an educator’s great idea into an opportunity for students to learn, grow, and thrive.
Proceeds help the Foundation invest in the creativity and innovation of Union County Public Schools educators through LIFT, GROW, and THRIVE Innovation Grants.
What Makes a Great Silent Auction Donation?
Our guests especially enjoy unique experiences, memorable getaways, and opportunities to treat themselves or someone special. Consider donating:
- Mountain Getaways: A weekend cabin or vacation-home stay
- Beach Escapes: A few nights at a beach house or coastal condo
- Charlotte Staycation: A night in an upscale local hotel with dinner to a nearby restaurant
- Themed Baskets: Spa packages, gourmet food and wine, bourbon, date night, or outdoor adventures
- Relaxation & Pampering: Massages, facials, spa packages, and wellness experiences
- Dining Experiences: Restaurant gift cards, chef-prepared dinners, or unique culinary experiences
- Entertainment & Adventures: Concert tickets, sporting events, golf outings, or one-of-a-kind experiences
- Shopping & Services: Boutique gift cards, photography sessions, home services, and other local favorites
- Gift Certificates: We appreciate any donated gift certificates and will put them to good use
And don’t feel limited by the list. Creative and unexpected donations can become some of the most exciting items in the auction.
Every Donation Can Make a Difference
You don’t need a vacation home or an extravagant package to participate. Businesses, families, and individuals can all contribute. Gifts large and small can also be combined to create fun, more substantial auction packages.
Consider joining forces with friends, coworkers, or neighboring businesses to create a memorable themed basket or experience. Your contribution helps build an exciting Silent Auction while raising important funds to support local educators.
Turn Your Generosity Into Opportunity
Imagine an educator receiving the funding needed to bring a carefully planned idea to life. Then think about the students who could benefit from that investment for years to come.
That’s the power of your generosity.
The Union County Education Foundation does not have an endowment funding these opportunities. It relies on the generosity of the community to continue supporting educators and their innovative ideas year after year.
So, as we prepare for Black Tie & Blue Jeans, we’re asking you to help us create an impact that lasts far beyond one evening.
Will you be the key that turns a teacher’s great idea into an extraordinary learning experience?
Donate an item, service, or experience to the Black Tie & Blue Jeans Silent Auction and help us celebrate educators, inspire innovation, and create meaningful opportunities for students across Union County Public Schools.
