"The GROW grant has been 5,000 opportunities of hope and wonder." Stacey Larson, New Salem Elementary

We want to watch you GROW! Rally your team together at a Union County Public School and apply for a big idea that benefits your whole school community. The GROW grant seeds innovation and creates a vibrant, thriving culture for our students!

This is our way of handing the reins over to YOU the educators who have a vision for your students and simply need resources to bring it to life. Our team is here to support students and encourage educators, one grant at a time!

The next deadline to apply is Sunday, January 25, 2025. Application opens mid-December. Call anytime with questions!

Common Questions

  • Who can apply?

The team that applies needs to be comprised of at least five employees from the same UCPS School and at least three of the team members need to be classroom teachers.
The team leader needs to be a teacher and one member needs to be an administrator. We will only accept one application per UCPS school.

  • What will you fund?

The intention of the GROW grant is to have student impact greater than the $5,000 award. Make a case for how your big idea will touch your entire school population and we will consider it! All initiatives that spur student growth through the “Connect, Collaborate, Create” components of the EmpowerEd framework would be considered.

  • When will we receive the funding?

Funding will be distributed in the late spring so funds can be spent over the summer to prepare for a fall roll out of your project.

  • Who makes the decisions?

A team of Union County Education Foundation volunteers and/or UCPS personnel.
