HERE ARE THE DETAILS ON MAKING A GIFT THAT COUNTS:
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all gifts to the Union County Education Foundation are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All gifts and investments will receive timely  acknowledgement for your tax records. Gifts may be made by cash, check, major credit card or PayPal account through our secure on-line donation site.  Gifts of assets or deferred gifts through a will or estate are generally acceptable as well. If you have interest in making a deferred or planned gift, please contact us for assistance.

* Gift acceptance is subject to Board approval and must meet criteria as outlined in the Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Policy.
 
Gift Acknowledgements
All contributions will be acknowledged promptly in writing via email and/or USPS mail. An itemized tax receipt will be issued for all donations with a tax-deductible component. For contributions of private securities, business interests, real property and other assets valued at more than $5,000, the acknowledgement will be sent after the Foundation has received a copy of an independent, qualified appraisal of the asset.
 
Gifts Are Irrevocable
In order to meet IRS guidelines, your contribution becomes irrevocable once it is accepted. It is owned and held under the direction of the Foundation's Board. Contributions to the Foundation are not refundable.
 
Anonymity
You may wish to remain anonymous with regard to some or all of your contributions.

ONLINE: The Union County Public Education Foundation is pleased to unveil our new, online payment processing system, Give2Schools. This program allows you to make donations securely online via e-check or credit card at your convenience all from our web site by simply clicking here.

What is Give2Schools?

Give2Schools is a browser-based windows application containing an Internet component that gives donors flexibility and control over making donations by electronic check or credit card.

How does it work?

Supporters can make donations online at their convenience by accessing the Give2Schools system through the foundation’s web site. You have the option to directly debit the funds from your bank account (electronic check) by entering the bank’s ABA routing number and your bank account number, use a PayPal account, or you can make your gift with VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.  After making a donation, an e-mail receipt will immediately be sent to you confirming your donation(s).  Give2Schools does not save or store bank or credit card information to ensure privacy and security for users.

MATCHING GIFTS

Your gift could be matched dollar for dollar! Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation's value. Check with your company or visit this partial list of matching gift companies to find out if your company will match your contribution to the Union County Public Education Foundation. If you have questions about your company's matching gift program, please contact your personnel office for more information and matching gift forms.

HARRIS TEETER - TOGETHER IN EDUCATION PROGRAM

If you are a Harris Teeter VIC Card holder, you can support the Foundation by linking your VIC Card to us.  It's quick and easy to do - simply link your Harris Teeter VIC Card to our account number (1436) and 2% of your HT Private Label purchases will be contributed to the Foundation!  Here's how:

-  Cards may be linked at the stores during checkout.  Just ask your cashier to link your card to TIE account number 1436.

 -  Visit www.harristeeter.com to link your VIC card.

-  Call the Customer Service number on the back of your VIC card.

WEB SEARCHES AND ONLINE SHOPPING:
Add the Union County Education Foundation toolbar to IE or Firefox. Once you add the Union County Education Foundation toolbar for IE or Firefox, each time you shop at one of the more than 1,600 participating stores, a percentage of what you spend will be donated to us at no extra cost to you! (you could even save money as the toolbar provides coupons and deals). The toolbar also has a search box and each time you search the Internet, about a penny is donated to us.
