Message from the Board Chair

Welcome to the official website for the Union County Education Foundation! It is my honor and privilege to serve as the 2012-13 Chairman for the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
 
The need for a separate, independent, community based non-profit foundation to support education and our Union County public schools has been a dream for more than two decades. Through the efforts of a number of dedicated community leaders and caring citizens, this dream is now a reality.

The Foundation came into existence in July of 2011 when we received our IRS Determination Letter granting us full tax-exempt status under section 501-(C)(3) of the tax code as a non-profit charitable organization. We have hired an experienced, well qualified and visionary Executive Director to help guide and focus our efforts. We are now fully operational and invite you to join us on this journey of excellence for our public schools.
 
Through your committed financial investment and involvement, we will build an endowment that will last in perpetuity and provide our young people with the very best schools and educational experience they will need in order to meet the challenges of succeeding in our global community.
